Tripel Karmeliet - 75 CL

Tripel Karmeliet is still brewed according to an authentic beer recipe from 1679 from the former Carmelite monastery in Dendermonde. This recipe, written more than 300 years ago, describes the use of three types of grains: wheat, oats and barley. The name Tripel Karmeliet therefore refers to both the origin and the refermentation in the bottle. The many test brews of multigrain triples carried out in our brewery in the 1990s show that the special historical combination of the 3 grain types is still the ideal blend.
