Frontal No Way Out - 33 CL

Põhjala is one of those breweries where the brewers made us wonder: “Why haven't the brewers worked with these guys all these years?” After a first meeting in 2023 at their festival, the idea for a strong barleywine was born. The brewers chose a completely different way to brew this beer. Due to the enormous amounts of malt, brewers had to double mash and then mash the first yeast starter there was no way out. By using Munich malt as a base, together with Carared, Cara160 and Dark Crystal, this Barleywine has a layered sweetness throughout the beer. The high sugar content gave the beer a thick mouthfeel but still drinkable, just like the brewers like to drink our Barleywines. To bring it all together, the brewers added a touch of salt and caramel to take “No Way Out” to the next level.
