Bottle Logic Fundamental Observation 2020 - 50 CL

This "liquid brownie batter" was aged in a combination of bourbon barrels and finishes at a mighty 14.17% ABV. Multiple additions of vanilla beans from Madagascar were added to each barrel, ultimately allowing the finished batch of beer to mature by hundreds of pounds over the course of a year. This year's Madagascar vanilla crop features the rich caramel notes of the coveted cornerstone brownie. Look for a subtle top note of berry compote and enjoy the familiar flavors of a generous scoop of melting vanilla ice cream. More than ever, this beer is the show-stopping companion to an incredible dessert. Fundamental Observation was initially honored as Best New Beer of 2015 on BeerAdvocate. It has two entries in Untappd's Top 50 Rated Beers for the 2016 and 2017 vintages and won gold in the Specialty Strong/Porter Stout category of the Festival of Wood & Barrel-Aged Beers before winning FOBAB 2018's Best In Show.
