La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch 13 2013 - 37.5 CL
La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch 13 2013 - 37.5 CL
BATCH 13 (blended on January 28, 2013) was divided as follows: Type BATCH Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) barrels 91% High Toast barrels 4.5% Medium Toast barrels of Acacia 4.5% Aroma: soft with striking wood notes. As floral and sweet as honey blossom. Almond and vanilla, and of course the normal Quadrupel aroma, which remains in the background. The first drink clearly tastes like a smooth red wine, followed by wood, tannins and smoke, which gradually evolve into a soft honey blossom. The warmer the beer is drunk, the more you taste the oak flavor. The beer seems to become richer in tannins. This makes this batch sufficiently bitter, so that the wood flavor remains in the background. This Quadrupel is medium sweet and drier than the normal Quadrupel.
